I just finished rebuilding the floorboard of my 66 f100 and bought a high hump cover for it off ebay. The PO had hacked out the original low tunnel and made a huge mess. Building a new flange for a high tunnel cover to fit on was the easiest fix.
I think it was around $80 or so dollars. These kind of parts are becoming scarce and every time the scrap metal prices get high you can expect parts to get even more expensive and rare. So it does not surprise me that someone is trying to capitalize on the lack of parts availability.
