1966 4X4 front axle in 1966 F250 frame
I cannot find any info yet here on this. I am wondering if the coil spring mount front drive axle from a 1966 F100 4X4 will fit into the mounts of a 1966 F250 2 wheel drive frame. In other words convert the F250 2X2 to F100 4X4. Thanks.

Welcome to the site.
The problem with converting 2wd to 4wd is the big crossmember in the middle .
You're much further ahead buying a late 70s 4X4 and putting your body on it.
The later trucks have disc brakes and power steering.
The later trucks have a 2 inch longer wheel base and the rear of the frame is a little wider , but that's easier to deal with
than trying to convert a 2wd frame.

To fordification. Yes another vote for it will be difficult to convert into a 2wd frame. your best bet is to find a true highboy frame and start building body swap it. So many trucks done this way. Mine was one of them. Or you can start with a 78-79 frame with power steering disc brake axles and all give you a really nice platform.
Just another Ford fool named Dan.
