Should I or Shouldn't I

Post by wndsofchng06 »

Well I am clearly no stranger here. I've bought, driven, and sold a bunch of these by now and I keep coming back to them. In my absence on here, lots has happened. I now have a reliable daily driver 16' f150 so I can pick the wrench back up and tinker on an old truck while not being stressed about it having down time. I have a 68 short bed with a 302 and no trans no title, a 70 short bed with a 302, 3spd, new cab mounts, floor pans, and rockers and a clean title. Going to look at a 1970 long bed today with a big block (guy cant tell me if it's 360 or 390 but I'll figure it out) and auto trans, also a lost title truck. I have a complete new body bolt set, front end rebuild kit, body mount kit, and brakes. Thinking it may be time to assemble some stuff and make a cool truck! Stay tuned. :fr:

Picked up the third truck today. 1972. 360, 2bbl. Got her home, changed the solenoid and checked the oil... she fired right up. Runs rough as hell and no exhaust, but was able to drive off the trailer and into my back yard! Trying to add a photo but it keeps telling me my 500kb photo is too large.

Thanks guys. I am using the KISS method this time (keep it simple, stupid). In my previous trucks I've gotten over excited to add every widget and wonder, then I get bogged down and lose interest.

:wel: back from California! Looks like a solid find! I know what you mean about the KISS method and I have to always remind myself that. :fr:

So as parts are selling, looking like I'm going to go 302 with a 3spd manual. Only problem will be finding a 3spd column shift p/s column.

So... it is decided. Now that a few other cars are out of the garage, I'm building the 69 f100, 302, 3spd. Adding power steering and disc brakes from a later model f150
