I am researching the best way to accelerate paint aging. I want to create a dull chalky paint. The truck is currently lacquer based paint. I plan to sand and rust the high spots. I dont want DA scratches when sanding to dull the paint surface. Any ticks or tips ?
thanks
I would like to destroy my paint!

Scuff the paint with 3M red scuff pads for starters. That will give you the satin finish.

Well my unintentionally faded, chalky paint is Rustoleum safety orange. Another yellow / white truck ('71 F-500) has the same issue. Took about a year of outside weather.
too many Fords, no where near 'nuff time.
or, money.

Interesting. Post some pics once you're done doing it.

If DeLorean made a truck, it'd look similar to that.
