New project with my son.
My son and I just bought a 1970 F250 Camper Special. It looks great and needs a little work. It is fun to drive and to teach him how to work on the truck. I look forward to reading the posts and sending my own for advice.

Re: New project with my son.
This truck is not quite that clean but it is nice. Sat in a barn for the past several years. Starting with wheels and tires. It has the 16.5 wheels. For know we found a set of 8 x 6.5 16" wheels is a local junk yard. Cleaned up real nice and finished with a matte black paint. We are working on the truck together and trying to get him to do as much as possible to learn the mechanics of it all. He aligned the hood yesterday with a friend and did an nice job on the lines. We think the color is Grabber Blue. We are taking it to a friends shop to have the paint buffed and see if we can reduce some of the small surface rust. Then add a fresh wax to protect it. We are in So Cal just north of LA.

Here is some factory information on the 1970 truck, the brochure pops up, there is also more information in the column to the left, just click on them.

Re: New project with my son.
Been a great truck so far. We have done a little work already. Aligned some of the body panels, replaced the front brake calipers and pads, replaced the rear break shoes and wheel cylinders and did a little tuning for the carb and distributor. Learning as well go but it is running well. We also replace the wheels and tires. I will post some new pics soon. I am sure we will have questions and will reach out to the group.
