several months ago I put a new fuel gauge unit in my 67 Ford F 100 gas tank. Now its making a pounding
noise in the tank.What is the best way to fix this? THANKS!!!

Does your fuel sending unit float have a rubber cup on it like in this picture? They put these on to help reduce the noise of the float hitting inside the cab tank: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0334/ ... 1582815152 I have not seen the rubber "cups" sold by themselves. I got my first float only from lmc. later bought a new sender with gasket and another float. I wound up with 2 different length floats. not sure how it happened but their are two different length floats. all from lmc. maybe call them? of course you want the shorter one. that junk china sender leaked from the top where there is an oring that goes around the threaded stud where the wire plugs in. put the original one back in, works as intended. the stud was not centered so the oring didn't fit right
