Has anyone ever replaced the black bench seat adjusting knob on their truck? I would like to replace mine as it has seen better days. Do you have to brake or cut up the old plastic knob to install a new one? Like most reproduction parts you get, there are no instructions on how to replace the old part. Here is an image from NPD of what I am talking about: https://d2zl5tj7gmc4tr.cloudfront.net/i ... 151129.jpg
Thanks for any help!

Re: Bench Seat Adjusting Knob Replacement
I've never successfully removed any of the factory knobs without breaking them. Shifter, turn signal, seat back release, none. Never tried a seat release knob but I'm assuming it's the same method of manufacting. Always had to break and clean up. On a positive note, they've always been very brittle and crumbled easily.

Re: Bench Seat Adjusting Knob Replacement
I just replaced the ones on my Mustang bucket seat tracks for my bump (same thing as yours) and I had to break them to get them off.....pulled them off with a pair of pliers and the sides broke out of them but it didn't matter since I bought new ones.. ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
