67 cowl lacing

Post by 67 short box »

so the 67 cowl lacing is supposed to be 1 year only round holes instead of oblong? need to order one but mine is a 67 and has oblong holes.
anyone else ran into this? i wonder if it changed during the 67 production. or im i missing something. thanks

Oblong holes on my 67. April ‘67 is the production date.
Where did you see that the 67s would have round holes for the cowl lacing?

Keith indicates in his tutorial about 1967's that they have round holes: http://www.fordification.com/tech/67differences.htm

I don't have a 1967, so don't know for sure.

This is not uncommon. I have a late 1969 production that actually has a 1970 cab (different cowl lacing hole spacing and no rear hood supports).
