hood latch, not hinge, springs

Has any one looked into replacing the hood latch springs on a '71/'72? I've had two of the upper springs break which resulted in the hood coming open while driving, not fun.

I had my latch all apart to get it powder coated. Springs aren't difficult to take off. Just take pictures first. Can you buy replacement springs?
