Hi all,
I have a '70 F-250 with the Explorer package and a camper special. From the dealership, this truck was taken to an aftermarket place to put in bucket seats and a center console. As they need replacing after 50 years, I'd like to go back to the original bench that would've been in this truck.
But I'm not sure where I can get fabric close to what would've been used. Judging from the vin tag, this truck may be a little hard to predict. I think it was a custom order, because my family bought it - from my family's dealership. It had ivy yellow exterior, and the tag shows 'Medium green vinyl' and 'Medium green cloth'. Every image I see online of all original Explorers (F-100s) shows a sort of plaid cloth on the seats.
SMS Fabrics doesn't appear to have anything like this.

Try talking to a local upholstery shop. Maybe they can order the fabric and custom make a cover. It would be much easier if you could find a picture of what it should be.

Have you tried contacting the folks at SMS Fabrics? I used them on a 69 f100 Custom. I am awaiting more work to be done on my 71, but have had them send me samples for my specific model and color.

I second sms for the fabric, you'll need the trim code off your door tag or the sticker on the jamb. Then they can send you samples of your correct fabric
