Re: 72 f250 highboy short bed
My uncle was in construction and bought a 68 F100 short 4wd ,
4X4s were kind of rare back then , our local dealer would generally stock only one at a time.
He talked about a construction company that had heavy duty short boxes , he thought one could of been a F350.
Now if these were a factory offering our converted I don't know.

after looking at a factory dealership brochure i don't think f250 was offered in a short bed. only f100's. the one i was looking at i think is a creation.

I believe the only F250 short beds were the F250 crew cabs, both in 2wd and 4wd.

I know, I know!
There are no F250 trucks that show up as a short wheelbase made from the factory, However I have a special order 1967 F262 with a short wheelbase that I've had since the early 80's.It has not been shortened according to the frame.
It had a 300-6 originally with 4 speed, Dana 44 and Dana 60 with 4.56 gears. I put a 390 interceptor with 4 barrel and just built that to a 396 last year. I have a 1950 bed flareside box on it and swapped to a 1970 grill and hood markers. We call him the Bumble. See "Rare sighting of the Bumble" on
youtube. It's before I put the 37's on it.
Let me know what you think!!
