The reason for the roll pin shearing is most likely the oil pump. Could be worn or there is something in it causing it to stop which will shear the pin.

hello. i was speeding down a hill the last time the roll pin sheared. second time since i owned the truck. now after sitting a year. i drove it 50 miles a year ago and the wader pump went out. now after replacing the wader pump i drive it to town a couple times about a 10 mile round trip. then up and down the road a few times. i'm in the country now. the reason i tried to drive it 50 miles to work was cause i stole a carb from another engine and it ws running really good. i need a tube though and muffler and maybe exhaust manifold gasket leaking. i start it and drive it around my property. one dually tube is flat though.
