Dome Light/Cargo Light

Post by goody »

Hi everyone. On my 70 F250 when I open the Door the Cargo Light goes on with the Interior Dome Light. Does anyone know if this is correct or do I have a problem. Both lights are pretty dim also. Thanks for any help.

I don't believe this is correct , but it shouldn't be a problem either.
With the age of these trucks who knows what someone did before.
As far as being dim a bad ground or connection can cause that , so can an incorrect bulb.

Apparently you do not have a cargo light switch? Someone simply tapped into the dome light for power to cargo light. I think Ford should’ve done it this way from the factory and eliminate the switch.
