that's a good fit-wonder why he moved the battery to the driver side? jd

If it's a Camper Special (though not an XLT, as he claims, since they weren't around until the following year), it's possible it's the auxiliary battery.

It's also not very original...NOT trying to pick it apart, but I noticed that he claims this is a '69, yet it's got a '68 grille and a '70-'72 hood (notice the front trim piece, which wasn't available on the '69-older trucks). It's also got dealer-installed air and no side trim, not very likely for a Ranger.

I think he's running dual batteries, I did that to my '79.

Agree, let’s not pick it apart. Besides, it’s got some nice options. But about the year, me thinks it’s a ’69 because of the hood latch & valance and rear reflectors. Other ’69 Ranger items include the door panels and wood grain cluster but it’s hard to see, plus the raccoon headlight buckets on a ’68 Ranger grille which looks kinda good. Ya know the body side molding was still optional even on the Rangers. Camper Specials with the optional 390 got mandatory disc brakes.

The step bumper is original and a nice option. They’re made by Fey and have an aluminum kick panel with ribbed black stripes that match the rocker moldings, very cool! They are very hard to find in good shape, at least down here.

Yeah Keith I agree on the Bronco console. I can only assume the buckets are original based on what he said about them in the post. But who knows what people say in their ads. I also thought this was a '69 despite the grill

did that type of buckets come in these trucks? They look just like early mustang buckets to me.

Bleedfordblue, just to reiterate what Keith said, they were a factory option. Kinda rare. I found a set off a '66 I'm going to get re-covered and install some day. Since they are Mustang seats, all the parts and patterns are still available.
