Just posted another project update page. This one should have been posted last weekend but I'm just now getting around to getting the pictures processed, and shows the work I did cutting the bedsides off the '68 LWB parts truck for use as patch panels on my SWB box....and then finding out they one of them is completely unusable.

Bondo ... such great stuff. I set a project aside back in 1979 because I found bondo nearly 3/4 inch deep in the right rear quarter panel (it's still on my list of things to take care of before I get too old).
Certainly hope you find another bed and don't have to pay premium price!

thats a freakin' mess. Who ever did that half-azz job should be shot. It's a shame that people use a ton of filler for a quick fix. Good luck on finding a clean box. Have you thought of using a complete replacement panel for that side ??
Well, it's always an option...but I might have lucked out. I just bought another 4x4 parts truck on E-bay, and from the seller's description and the fuzzy pics he sent, it appears that the box might be useable. I'll be taking a 4-day weekend next month to go pick that truck up.
Keeping my fingers crossed!
