Installing vent window glass

Post by ivansgreat »

When installing vent window glass, do you have to put some kind of glue on the edges or does it just slide in? Thanks.

Does anyone know what type of glue is used on the vent window? Would the review mirror glue work?

I'm also trying to find the weatherstripping that the vent glass uses. It's not the vent window seal that goes around the vent window frame but the weatherstripping that protects that vent glass from contact with the swivel frame that it goes into. Has anyone ever replaced just the glass of the vent window. Your info would be helpful. Thanks.

I'm talking about the stuff that actually touches the glass on the curved side. There won't be any on the straight side. Thanks though, Alvinator.

ah, the black trim on the glass itself. No, did not replace that, just sanded and painted it while i had the glass out.
