Just finished Stereo install
I just finished installing a new stereo in the truck tonight using the Metra 99-9222 kit. It was fairly easy and I think came out looking pretty good. Here are some pic's from the install and finally in.

Looks good. Where are those kits available from? Haven't started checking, but would be nice to know.
Thanks,
Patrick

I picked the kit up from Best Buy. You have to go to where they do the install's of stereos and speakers to get it. I paid around $18.

That does look nice. I plan to have a CD player as well, when Frankie gets to that stage.

re: Just finished Stereo install
Thanks for all the compliments. I picked up a JVC (model KD-S32) from Walmart. I tried to get something that looked decent and did everything I wanted for around $100. It says that it is iPod ready with the optional cable, and I was planning on hooking the iPod up through the glove box to keep it hidden. When I checked on the price of the cable it was almost as much as the stereo
. I don't think so, the CD player is just fine by itself. I think it took me a total of 3 hours to install the unit over 2 nights.

Nice job that is what I'm planning on doing now that I see that it is fairly simple. Thanks for the pics.

That's an old Kmart led clock that my dad installed when he used to use the truck on his route. It doesn't work I don't believe since the wires have long been disconnected. I wish now that he hadn't cut the dash to put it in...........oh well was done before it was mine.bleedfordblue wrote:Hey studley-- what's that below your oil pressure light??
