CACWBY,
What did you think about the Aim/Chassis Tech Drop Beams other then the fact they would not fit yours at the time....

Correct me if I am wrong but don't you loose a bunch of turning radius with the extended steering arms?
Personally I think I would look into the Dakota front suspension or some other A arm type (not mustang 2) Then you would have something that can run lowered spindles and shorter springs and still be able to keep proper camber. I have always wondered why they don't just make lowered spindles for the Ford I-beam suspension so you don't have to mess with the steering arms ect.

Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

They would work fine if you didn't want 8" W rims w/disc brakes. I sold mine to a fellow club member, Greg the Truck Farmer in IL.cobraF100 wrote:CACWBY,

Willowbilly makes a good point. Some have used an Aerostar IFS, there's an article at Slick 60's on doing that. In Fact the above mentioned Greg
has done this (not to a 67 but he says it would work fine)

I've used the chassis tech /aim beams for 7 years now with disc brakes with no problems,my truck was pulling the wheels off the ground 6" off the line and I loaded all my race stuff in the bed and drove to the strip. They are a billit steel welded I beam with a solid steel ends. They dont have the cut outs for the steering stops and since thet are thicker than stock beams you turning radius id reduced if you don't modify the spindle stops.I'm going to put a set on my 72 and my brother is going to install a set on his 71.Forget the special lowering springs, cut your stock springs,if thats too stiff, then get some 6 banger springs and cut those, the 6 banger springs may seem soft on a V8 truck but they handle and ride nice and at the end of the 1/4 when I'm doing 104 my truck is rock solid.Oh F250 and 100's use the same front springs and the drivers side is a higher rate spring. If you swap the pass and drivers springs the truck will set crooked.
