that valve has two copper lines one for pressure and temp, right
The one small tubing with the bulb is the sensing bulb which will determine how much the expansion valve should open.
The second small tubing is the equalizer tube which will take pressure from the low side to open/close the valve.

Pay particular attention to the mounting location of the bulb onto the low side piping for sure!
This can make or break the correct operation of the system.
As well as contaminents induced into the piping system.
Typically the bulb on the TXV is mounted in either the 10 or the 2 O'Clock position facing the firewall as close to the evaporator as possible.
And make sure it gets insulated real good after it's clamped to the piping. This it to sense the amount of liquid there and determine how much it should open.
