Dang guys,

Got myself all pumped up about gettin' that new seat, but the guy hasn't gotten back to me.
I've left 4 or 5 messages now but still haven't heard from him.
I'd understand if the guy sold it, if he did, then he's got the money to call me and leave a 2 second message letting me know...
I'm gonna check to see if it is still posted on craigslist this morning if it is, I'm not gonna be a happy camper...

I have done seats from 86, you have to swap the tracks out.

Hey Guy...

No I never got the '88 seat.. the guy never returned my calls, yet continued to post it on craigslist for a couple more weeks.
I called him probably 10 times and left messages that I had the cash and wanted to come check out the seat...
I just shined it on... I figured if he didn't wanna bother callin' me back, he didn't need my money.
I found a yard where I can get some pretty nice buckets for a reasonable price...
I would definately go with buckets if I could find some that fit right 'cause I like ta have a center console.

Kap'n i think 460 crew got some nice fitting buckets from a newer f-series truck. and Robert(69f250cs?) got his from a chrustler minivan.

I'm almost betting that jeep seats would also fit.

Hey rjewkes...

I keep watching the yards for newer ford pickup seats, but so far I haven't found any...
I'd like the 40/20/40 style with the console that folds up to make it a bench seat, but have only been able to find those new for $700-$800.
I've been watching for some nice 90's style T-bird leather buckets with the matching console...
I saw some in a Taurus that looked like they would fit and be pretty comfy.
I have a ways to go before I start on the interior.. but if the right set of seats come up and I have the cash, I'm gonna snag 'em.
I have a decent set of charcoal grey buckets out of a Pontiac Grand AM...
that I might use....
I sat them in the empty '71 cab for a while... they looked good in there, but they lay back and don't tilt forward.

the 88 would have the same tracks.

width is the same as stock. If you line up the holes like I did then the front-back movement is the same as well.
Thanks for that info! Do you have any more pics that show the whole seat installed? BTW...$60 seems like a good deal to me.

I'm either gonna go with buckets or with a 40/20/40 set up...

I really like the 40/20/40 for comfort and fuctionality...
I have only been able to find brand new ones though...
I just keep watchin' the local yards and craigslist for one to come up.

I know the feelin Kaptn, I went to several yards multiple times before I finally found the seat I got, but it was worth the wait and the hunt!
