ammonia and water wont hurt the paint and trim.

Remove the tint, then spray the glue with the mixture and scrape with a razor blade or bondo spreader.

:lol:, Slightly old thread but the easiest way for me to do it was with a steamer. Just open the door put some steam to the tint and start in a corner keep steaming the tint until you feel like it will peel off in one piece. Then again if your tint is too far gone you may only be able to go at it with some glass cleaner and a razor blade. But in my case it was on a newer tint job so it came off relatively easily with some steam. The tint I removed from the sliding rear window of the '67 I was able to pull off by hand since the tint was so fresh and far from reaching the corners of the window :doh: :lol:.
