Here's a pic of the Volvo Metra kit installed. I'm sure Jamie's custom bezels will look 10 times better, but the volvo kit ended up looking better than I thought it would. I put the speakers in the new headline we made... speakers sound good, but I don't like the way the headliner turned out so I'm gonna make another one. No pics of that just yet...

Thanks for posting pics. I'm still not sure if the Volvo kit will work in my truck cuz the kit looks bigger than the size of the opening in my dash.

Here's a pic of what I got...

Wow, you need a sawzall and a junkyard to cut out that section of dash and fit it back into yours. What a hack job...

Yeah I don't know what the guy was thinking...or what he planned on putting there. I haven't done any official measuring yet. Mine doesn't have the tabs anymore.

That's why I wanted to see what you guys measurements were for the opening to make the Volvo kit fit. Does anybody know their measurements for the opening??

Thanks,
Frank

Just did the measurements of the opening in my silver dash pictured above... the main opening for the head unit is 7 13/16" x 2 1/8". I haven't measured my cd player yet but I feel that I'm probably gonna end up doing some fab work. I'm probably just gonna cover up that bottom notch or figure something out.

Does anybody have their cut-out opening size that would work with the Volvo kit??

Thanks,
Frank

Any takers for the questions I had in the last couple posts??
Your help is greatly appreciated. I wanted to see what you guys have.

The forum site seemed to be down for the past couple weeks...or maybe it was just my comp...

Thanks,
Frank

I have a 70 F100 and a 70 F250. The vovlvo kit is exactly what I have been looking for. Does anyone know the part number or year volvo the kit is for? I would appreciate any help.

The Metra DIN radio installation kit you need is #99-9222 for a '75-'93 Volvo.

My son-in-law sells these. He can ship them anywhere in the 48 states for about $28 for the kit, shipping and handling.

Don't know if that's good or bad but he has them.

PM me if you are interested.

Thanks for the part number. I have one now and will be installing it soon. As soon as I figure out posting pictures, I will post photos.
