Those are seats are correct.

I have a set, and the brackets look just like those. The seats are Mustang seats. You can buy new foam and upholstery at some website for the ponies (can't remember the name right now).

Not sure if they were in there when the truck was new, because I thought they were only available in Ranger and Ranger XLT, which this truck apparently is not. There's a good possibility I'm wrong about that. But, if you look at the rear of the cab, you can see that the paint has a line in it about half way between the rear window and the tank, indicating that at one time, it may have had the chrome trim that is used to trim out the carpet when they are factory installed.

the seats are also the same as early bronco seats (i think some mustangs also had them, we had a 70 mustang and now that i think about it i think they were the same too), the bucket seat option was just like any other option and you could get it with anything you wanted (is what i have been told)

67 models had 67 Mustang seats.

68-72 had 68 Mustang seats.

You may be right about getting them with any trim package, but I'm sure they had to be ordered with a trim package that included carpet, because of the carpet over the gas tank.

Anybody have any info otherwise?

i looked fro the chrome strip or eveidence of it ever being there but this cab has been repaired. right in the center. the whole center of the rear of the cab has been cut out and replaced. as well as the roof. it also had a 70-72 gas tank behind the seat instead of the 68 tank. i couldnt see any old paint lines or any kind of screw holes or anything else on the sides ot the cab that were still there. i dont think it was a ranger. but it does have factory a/c in it. but it didnt have power steering. it had been added by the po of the truck. all of the chrome if any had been removed. if it had any to begin with. and a paint job with lots of runs in it covered the whole cab. if it wasnt for the bad body work and paint job this would be a great truck. you can see where the roof seam was deleted when the new roof was put on.

Actually, I was speaking about the inside of the cab.

There is definitely a difference in the paint. Not a major difference, but it's there.

The chrome trim I'm referencing was on the inside, between the window and the tank.

Looks like it could have been there at one time...

not all of them. i have one that shows the extra dome light someone put in this truck. i may have another one. if not i can probably still get one more tomorrow. the truck is still next door. im almost sure it doesnt have the paint line on the insdie or and way of attching the chrome strip above the fuel tank.

I'm not talking two-tone, just a line where it's dirty above, clean below.

yes inside of the cab. not the chrome on the back of the cab to give it a different color top. the chrome strip that hides the gastank with carpet inside of the cab. i do have to get another picture. the one with the extra dome light is too high to see anything.

he is talking about buck seats 1.jpg that you attached on the first page, you can see a line along the cab on the inside behind the seats mid way between the tank and the glass...
