I have a split bench that was made for bumps by some company similar to the one Mugwump posted.

It might only be the case with mine but be aware that with the folding center, it might hit the incab tank when you fold it up/down. When my seat was in Convincor's old truck at first, the gas tank was bashed in to allow for the center to go up and down. It isn't a problem for me because i removed the incab tank.

Clint, I was thinking the exact same thing. From what I've *read*, the newer style front seat foam is supposed to work like springs, only with damping. The rear seats of quad cabs are supposedly thinner, and have less "spring" to them.
Our spring seats, when the truck hits one bump, we bounce two or three times. Now that's great for a laugh when your girl friend or spouse is with you, but it does get old on long trips.
The newest truck I've driven, or ridden in (not counting big rigs) was a '76, so, I don't know for sure.
But I see these people driving newer F450s pulling 5th wheels, and they look pretty comfortable. :)

my 94 seat doest exactly have springs. it has a net under it to hold the foam up and in place. the netting broke the other day and the seat sags on the edge where it broke at now.
