Thanks fordloaf and 70SportCustom you gave me information that was very helpful. I now know that they are out there at a reasonable price so I will try and dig up some of my old contacts to see who is doing what for what rate.

I appreciate the information and help.

I haven't used hem so I can't vouch for quality but Certified Transmission sells rebuilt units on an exchange basis.

Tony gave me a lead to check in the local Autotrader and found several local shops that will do an exchange on a C6 for less than $300.

Howdy !

Have you decided what your gonna do yet? I had the C6 on my 70 rebuilt by Eagle Trans in Grand Prairie. Tiny was top notice and I was very happy to get my power back. I did it in 2001 for about 795.00 worth every penny.

You would want to make sure that removal and replacement by yourself won't void the warranty. Good point! :wink:
