i do love me 70 but its hard to beat the 67-69 grill. They just look so clean. The 70 is ok, but the 71-72 just look too busy in front.

Now don't get me wrong the 67-69 grilles are great and I live my 67 as well but the 70-72 grilles with the billet inserts look pretty clean too

I like my '69 because it was free and it has a big block. :D
There's no replacement for displacement.

Thank the Lord for the big block Ford.

My first truck was a 69 and I still think that grill is best. The rest of the trucks are so similar that I have to say 69!

71 & 72's Custom and Sport Customs are my favorites but the plain Jane's are easier to deal with. No worries about crud getting behind trim etc. to trap moisture and rot.
Now another issue far as which does a person like best. The 4x4's are the only "real" Ford Trucks. The others are just big grocery getters. I mean after all... what good is it if it can't move? :hmm: Especially the light GVW versions of the F100's in two wheel drive... What's the point? :? Just for hauling foam peanuts or a place for the dog to ride? I suppose I can see that if you're living where there's never any snow... but what if you decide to visit the snow belt? You can get stuck on level ground in these things without the front playing in the game. (Just rattlin' the cage... pin pulled :woohoo: ... and I'm running away...) :)

P.S. Just figuring out how to use the little smiley face things... :D

My first Ford truck was a '69 Ranger LWB. As others have said, the grille is a winner but I really like the overall stance of the LWB version. To me, it just looks like what a truck is supposed to look like. I know, I know, most people seem to prefer the SWB trucks. But, that just makes life easier for me. Of course, you might note that I now have a '68 Ranger. That was as close as I could get to my old '69 at the time. And, after looking both model years over, I really couldn't find that much difference. So, either one is fine with me. The metal grilles are better 'cause they don't break!

Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in garages. (Apologies to Kenneth Grahame.)

67'. None of those goofy reflectors and side turn indicators that were just thown on to meet safety standards. I also like the heater controls better, very retro.
