Re: New Interior Picture
Wow bjde0b! That's uncanny. That's exactly the same color scheme I'm doing for my truck. Bright red with tan seats, although I'm going Mustang buckets. I was born in Houma, La. I guess us coon a$$es think alike! Thanks for posting that. Now I really know how it'll look.

I'm am a transplant. We got hear almost two years ago. We are enjoying our time until we move again. I was on the fence about the seat cover. My wife suggested the color and I am coming around. You solidified it for me. I really do like it. The seats feel great.

HaHa. You're an import and I'm an export. Left Louisiana for Georgia in 1990 and never looked back. Happy where I am now. Great truck!

Re: New Interior Picture
I was about a mile from this place today! Wish I would have read this earlier. If you do not mind me asking how much was the upholstery? I like to keep my money local and 45 minutes from my house is about as local as I am going to find.

I got my bench seat upholstery from here and covered it myself:
EZ Auto Products LLC
(360) 439-9214
46 Village Way, Port Ludlow, WA 98365
4998 firethorn with red madrid.
Im happy with the way it turned out. Since then, I found a guy who told me he got a factory original "look alike" upholstery kit from here:
http://stephenscustominterior.com/index.html
I plan on giving these guys a call and see how much they run. I was looking for an original style kit for mine but at the time I couldnt find one.

Re: New Interior Picture
Great looking truck, williamwilliam!
I just got back from a vacation and saw your thread, and had to reply and I have a couple of questions. I am restoring a 1968 Ranger as well (just getting started), which has a red interior. I am planning to repaint the exterior black like yours, and I was trying to decide whether or not to keep the red interior, or go with black. You have me thinking very hard about leaving the interior red. It looks VERY sharp! Hmmmmm!
I also like the stance if your truck. How much lowering did you do on the front and rear, respectively?
Finally, I really like the look of your wheels. I like the "old school" chrome reverse look, and the nice fat tires. Where did you get those wheels? And, what size tires are you running?
Beautiful truck!

Re: New Interior Picture
It must have been the beauty rings I saw in the photos that look like full chromed wheels! Oops!
The truck I have came with a set of beauty rings, too. They have a red band to match the original truck color. Pretty easy to paint that band black, I would think!
Thanks for your advice, and for showing us your gorgeous truck, williamwillian!
Cheers!
