I put a loveseat in it and hauled it to downtown San Antonio for my wife. When I got there, I had lost a hubcap. Not a huge deal, but it irks me.

Waiting on the exhaust manifold to come in to replace the one that cracked over the long cold spell. Thank goodness I used my anti seizure on the bolts, just my luck to get a cast iron piece with a defect and have it show up a year past the warranty. On a good note, gasket and doughnut where in ace shape and didn't leave hardly any stuff to scrape off. New manifold is coming with both a new gasket and doughnut, just have to warm up an area to paint it. :hd:

I did this yesterday, just slow in posting. I replaced the vent window frame on the drivers side door. Actually wasn't that hard! I have the instrument panel out right now and doing some work on it. I'll paint the needles, replace the clear plastic piece (yellowed), and I am swapping the bezel from my '68 to one I pulled out of a '71. Mine is open in the middle, and the '71 has the bar in the middle. It was a little scratched, so I have lightly sanded it and am repainting it with some silver Rustoleum Hammered paint. It gave it a cool texured effect. I will paint the proper places black after the silver dries and cures. I have also repainted the inside of the metal shield just inside the plastic with black Hammered Rustoleum on the outside, and white in the inside. I'm hoping the white in the inside will reflect the light onto the gauges better. I'll have pics up later!

Parked it in the driveway so the street sweeper can do his job (it normally lives on the street).

Heh, I found the hubcap on the left shoulder of I-10 here in San Antonio. I pulled the car over, ran out and grabbed it. I'm really glad I didn't get hit. I didn't want my wife to inscribe on my tombstone "He died trying to retrieve a hubcap on a busy highway. Idiot."

I washed it ...in the rain. It was sooooo dirty and the rain helped keep ithe dirty soapy stuff wet so I could rinse it off. I just put on my foul weather gear and went at it. It is much happier now.
