Thats it, I got it at Advance I think, it's about 6" wide, you peel off the back and stick it on, the secret is, be sure to peel the clear covering on the front, (it's a bugger to get started)then it pops like chrome. The tape is fairly thick, so maybe it will hold up being at the top of the dash, where it really doesnt get handled.

Whatdayau'll think? The clock is a $2.00 item from a discount store, I made the new face with the Ford emblem.
The hard part is cutting away the back of the original cluster housing, to clear the after market gauges, and leave space for the turn signals and speedo.

bobaloo,

Did ya see what i meant by how much time I had in that thing?

Grinding those holes out and clearancing the backing plate was very difficult. It looks like you are using a stock gauge, looks great. I am also putting a clock in the hole to the right, but mine matches the SW stage 3 gauge set that I have. That darn clock was the most expensive gauge in the set BTW, they say its the same one used on Shelby mustangs from the 60's. I need to post assembled pics but my cluster is on hold to be painted along with the truck.

I do. It took waaayy more time than I thought. If I had a drill press that would have been nice.
The tach is a Sunpro, the oil, water and volts are Auto Gage, the fuel level is an Equus. It doesnt match perfectly, but I am going to try to work on that. The Equus is supposed to be a plug and play for the stock Ford sender. I hope so. I may re do the clock face with smaller numbers, I would like it to match the tach a little closer.
Cant wait to see yours finished.

Yeah thats what i was thinking of doing. I tried cutting my holes with the holesaw i bought on my drill press but the holesaw would bite to hard on the cluster.
I ended up cutting the holes with my plasma cutter and then grinding the rest of the way so the gauge would fit.

Bobaloo2....nice job man. That cleaned up really nice and has that vintage look to it too. I almost bought a '64 F600 with a dump bed on it, went with a '70 CS instead but I do want want one of those clusters. Much easier to read, ergonomically better overall....
