Lots of our snow has gone the last few days, I can see the truck again. I will post some when I get the vents out of the dash pad but that will be a day or two.

For the Heater and Defroster openings? If that's what your talking about then you can take them out of the pad as a seperate item. They even have holes drilled so they can be screwed into the dash with the holes which were already pre-drilled in the dash as well, I wish I had a pic of my dash now, to show you I just cut the vents out of the dash-pad yesterday.

Sounds like that would probably look better than the stock vents, and cleaning the hoses out with the stock vents is the reason I never sit anything on my dash , either it will find it's way into the defrost hose or it will slip through a slot for the dash pad and It'll end up being lost somewhere in the dash  .

That's exactly how mine looks, except my dash is green. I found some screen door type metal mesh, that I think would work pretty good if you cut the little slats out and soldered or tacked the mesh to the back of the vent frame, then you wouldn't have screws poking through and it would be held, tight and mount up just as the inserts would. I think I may even try that I've got a 5 day weekend thanks to exams :hd:.
