I usually don't get the whole garage, I haven't quite figured out how to kick the wife out completely. The mustang normally gets squeezed under the truck.
The flange to flange measurement on it is 62 5/8. I don't know how that would translate to one with a slip yoke on the end though.

Didn't quite make my goal of the weekend, I had to wait on an intake boot that I ordered wrong. But got the ol pile fired up tonight. All went pretty smoothly w startup, but it promptly puked a power steering hose and oil went everywhere...
Kinda expected something I guess.
Mocking up intake, had to bend it pretty sharp to stay away from radiator. The white is a schedule 40 PVC 45. I was gonna use it just for fitment, but smoothed it a little and painted it black. I don't really think it looks too bad.

So I've finished a little more stuff lately. Since getting the truck running, I got the shock mounts welded up and the bump stops mounted. It pretty much is mechanically drivable. The boy and I took a little cruise thru the subdivision the other night. Just got my gauges off the brown truck from speedhut. Next week it will go to get exhaust and then hopefully back to body shop to finish paint.
Guages mocked up in cluster. Wanted to do something a little different w the color, my daughter picked out the red...

Great work! The red face gauges will really POP in the dash.

Thanks! I may tie the red into the upholstery. Not too much... Maybe red stitching or something. I can't wait to get them in and see what the dash is gonna look like mostly complete.

Impressive build! What are those rear wheels with the spoke design that are in the earlier pictures? What did they come off of? How wide are they? I am looking for a cheap temporary set with that 5x4.5 lug pattern but not sure what they come on.
I borrowed the wheels from a friend who had them for an 03 cobra. They are diamond racing brand, I think 15x10. That's about all I know about them, just using them for rollers until its painted.

So the truck is running and driving. Took it to the muffler shop and had exhaust put on it last week. Hopefully I have it ready to head back to body shop for paint this week. Finishing up the filler in the bed, and a few other little things.
I have a little finish grinding to do. Bed will have spray in liner so I'm not going to worry about it being too perfect.
Outside the exhaust shop
Put a (cough) hurst stick for a 90s chevy truck on the mustang shifter. I've always wanted one of the old school white shift knobs.
Guages all hooked up!

So my sandblaster got carried away with the good hood I had, and I'm getting close to needing one in a bad way. I have amassed a collection of them, but all have rust issues. Wondering if any of my MO neighbors know where there might be a good one? I would also be willing to travel within reason to get a good rust free one.
Thanks-
Chris
