More seatbelts

Post by Doug Comer »

I as thinking about adding another seat belt to my truck so I could haul 4 people. What do you think? Would the anchor points be strong enough if I did get in an accident? Thanks

You have three seat belts already? The center belts are hard to find in the yards, took me quite a while.

"Are you gonna make it all 220?"
"Yeah 220, 221, whatever it takes."

if Ford intended there to be 4 passengers they would have put in 4 seatbelts. you can try it but I would anchor the bolts with a large backing plate, just a thought check your registration it may state how many passengers are allowed to be in the vehicle hate to see ya get a ticket if you get stopped

My wife called CHP and they said it was ok to add the seat belt. Now I will just have to find one.

Like Cool said though, make sure you use a good size backing plate. These trucks were not meant for that many passengers and the cab is not that thick.
