3speed manual column shift vs auto column shift

Post by f100ranger1969 »

Been a while since I posted, been working my butt off to make money to get the truck at least somewhere on the road to restoration.

Quick question, Can a 3 speed manual column shifter be modified to work as an automatic shift lever. The auto levers are kinda on the short side and I like the longer manual levers.

Thanks

since nobody else has answered you I'll tell you this much, no, because the end that sticks in the column is different on the two shifters, but might I suggest that you can modify everything with anything, lay the two shifters side by side and let your imagination go wild. good luck :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

thanks, yeah you know almost anything can be fabricated to some extent or more these days its just a matter of having it doent to work correctly. I will have to look into it further when I get close to that part of the project. Tho now I am in more trouble since I smashed up my C/K work truck this morning after work. Hehe, damn Chevy tried to commit suicide! LOL! :cuss:
