tilt column question

Well, my tilt column arrived a couple days ago. The column didn't make it in one piece, however....the little plastic shield which goes across the clear shift indicator was in about 50 pieces by the time it arrived. Oh well....

Anyway, I've sent numerous e-mails to the seller asking him if the truck this was removed from was equipped with cruise control and haven't gotten a reply yet (he obviously isn't into customer service!). There was no steering wheel so I have defer to those of you who have messed with these before. I'm guess that the two little copper electrical contacts sticking up in the picture below is for the cruise control buttons on the wheel. Is this a correct assumption?



Also, the hole for the shift lever pin in the shift collar is worn out, meaning I'll have to replace the collar. I don't suppose a regular column from the same year could be used as a donor or does a tilt column use it's own shifter collar?

That looks just like the colum I had in an 85 E150 van. It had crusie so it's a pretty good guess that those pins are for cruise control

I would think it was for the horn. Well maybe at least one of them.

After pulling a steering wheel off to check. The yellow wire turns the cruise on and off, and the blue wire sets the speed.
