Under Column Cover???

OK, is it supose to look like Ford forgot a peice?? Is there something that goes on the bottom to cover the column??

Nope, that's it. It's supposed to look like Ford forgot a piece. :hmm:
It allmost looks like there should be a matching piece that goes on the bottom. I thought there was something missing also, when I got my truck.

I never looked that close, but could a top piece be made to fit underneath also? :?

passably but how will you get a wrench on the bolts?

has anybody thought about makingt the column cover from 73-79 work?

I think I am going to try to make a fiberglass one and hold it on with magnets or small screws on the side.

Thats funny you guys should say that because when I first got my truck I thought the same thing. So when I went to the junkyard I got one of the top covers thinking it would bolt to the bottom got home and it didnt work. I think ive still got it if anyone needs one, I believe that its yellow in color.

Get one of those AC units that run all the way along the bottom of the dash. You'll never notice the 'bare spot' then!
