Turn signal options
My 250 has a HD blinker on it. What do I need to change so that I can run a normal one. The HD one is way to slow.

Hey Max...
My '68 CS did that for years... I always thought it was the blinker so I replaced it several times and could never figure out why it blinked so slow.
Come to find out there were two separate blinker units. After I replaced them both, they worked perfect...
You might wanna check that out...

I looked for the second (emergency flasher) but couldn't find it.
In the glove box there is the bracket for the switch, but the switch is gone and it has what looks like a factory type plug in it.
I looked at the wire diagrams and mine doesn't folow the same path as what it shows.
I will continue to investigate.
Any other sugjestions??

Yes, there should be two. On a standard truck, one is clipped to the back of the instrument panel....I'll bet that's the one you haven't found.
On my '67 CS, the heavy-duty flasher is a large gold box, attached to the back of the steering column support.

Found the Large gold box. I looked for the one on the back of the gages, but couldn't even find the plug for it. The big box is easy to find, it shakes the dash when it "flashes"FORDification wrote:Yes, there should be two. re: Turn signal options
Some had a flasher stat in the fuse box. Also you should have one for emergency flashers along with turn signals.
