Aux fuel Switch

Post by kid »

My 250 came with the aux tank but no switch. I need to know where is mounts under there. The truck had the factory long AC unit so there are plenty of holes and I have not seen the wiring harness yet for the switch.

Any one have the wiring diagram for the aux switch? i.e. color codes.

eric,

I'm confused...I have a 71 f250 with the dual tank set up, but I thought the switch in the first pic was the selector for the fuel gauge.. on the wiring diagram it refers to it as a fuel pump selector???? my truck has the engine mounted fuel pump...is there an electric one or something or is that a different version than i have on my 250???
I alway thought when i change over tanks (which I don't do very often) the fuel pump just pulled the fuel thur the line after I move the selector that is on the floor???

Yeah, the diagram is mislabeled, just one of a few mistakes I have seen on some of the diagrams... It is just switching the sending wires for the fuel gauge on the dash...
