on my 67, the plastic lever that flips back and forth by the steering wheel, is broken on one end, causing no cancel effect on one side. I noticed in the LMC catalog, that they sell a replacement "cam repair kit". Has anyone bought this? My existing one is riveted to the unit behind it which also encompasses the threaded receptacle for the turn signal stalk. Don't have a clue how to take one off without affecting the other. Has anyone replaced just the plastic levers without upsetting everything else?

it is much less hassle to replace the whole thing wires and all. you have to watch what you are doing when you replace the cam only plastic thing you have to cut some wires or something like that and reattach them to the new one from what i have read. but i don't not have first hand knowledge of this operation. removing the cam only you have to remove that little keeper in the center on top of the cam in order to get it off of the other piece. or just do like everyone else and don't use your signals.

You can get these cam kits at the local parts stores also... They have instructions in them on what you have to do... I did one a couple of years ago so my memory is a little fuzzy but if I recall you drilled out the rivets that hold the cam in and screwed the new one in its place. you also have to splice some wires there too.. seems like the kit I got was around $12, but like I said its been a while...

farmtruckman,
Here's one on E-Bay, I see them on there quite often.

I've changed one on the "old-style" Bronco but not our "bump" style truck before. If I remember the hardest part was getting the steering wheel off!
