OK, '70 F100 4x4, 360, 4sp...all that stuff. I'm having some gremlins... when the key's shut off, the radio, fuel gauge, back up lights, and brake lights still work. I've replaced the switch (the whole switch, housing as well as tumblers) with new, replaced the solenoid (shouldn't have been, and wasn't that).....so now I'm confused and don't have the time to go troubleshooting the thing myself.... has anyone else had this happen???
Thanks in advance!
John

The brake light should work anytime the brake pedal is pushed. Perhaps the switch is wired incorrectly or if this is a recent problem, your fuse block may have some issues. Tap the fuse box and see if the problem goes away. Generally, the radio power comes from an auxiliary position on the fuse box with switch on run, the fuel gauge power from the Instrument Voltage Regulator through the 14 amp fuse with the switch on run, and the back up lights power through the 14 amp fuse with the switch on run.
