re: 67 only brake switch plug
I think this is it. My 67, however, was changed to the later button type.

yes that is the brake switch and i have that. i just could find my plastic plug that plugged on to the switch. so i gave up a few minutes ago and used some adapters to go from the 69 harness and plug to my 67 switch. i used to female spade connectors on the switch and two male spade connectors and plugged those into the 69 harness. it works great now i just have to get the wires under the truck permantly connected. thanks guys.

re: 67 only brake switch plug
I've got a problem with my '67 brake switch. I had to take it off to install a new master cylinder and apparently wasn't paying enough attention to the original assembly sequence and orientation. Now matter how I put it back together now, the switch is apparently grounded to the brake pedal. I've checked the operation of the switch when not installed and can get voltage to the "back side" of the switch when the metal plate is pushed against the spring. Every time I fully install the switch, regardless of orientation, I cannot get any voltage on the "back side" of the switch when the pedal is depressed.
I'm looking for guidance on the number of parts that I'm supposed to have (maybe I lost one when I pulled it off the brake pedal), the assembly sequence, and switch orientation relative to the brake pedal. I'm including a picture of the parts that I have and a guess at an assembly sequence. Thanks for any help.

the prongs on mine point to the drivers side and to the rear of the truck. so in your pic the head of the bolt would be to the drivers side and the front of the truck would be where the bolt is. im not sure i helped but maybe i did. do you have a plug for your wires or are they dangeling loose? im guessing if you dont have a plug that maybe the wires are on the wrong prongs. but im not sure if that matters.

compare the shape of of the new brake rod to your old one, if it has changed. If you plug the switch in, w/o installing, and then ground it see if the lights come on.
The switch maybe closing as soon as it's installed. looks like correct order should be a washer under nut.

IIRC the 67 was the one with the oddshaped head on the MC pushrod. If you don't have that shaped end on the replacement rod where it bolts to the pedal, it will not work the switch. Either change the pushrod or the switch type.

re: 67 only brake switch plug
I didn't get a new rod with this master cylinder, so I'm reusing the original rod. Also, I do have the original connector and I can verify that I have voltage to one side of the connector and none to the other. With connector attached to the switch but nothing installed on the truck, I have been able to verify proper operation of the switch by pushing on the spring and measuring voltage on the previously zero voltage side of the switch. When I install it "loosely" on the brake pedal/master cylinder rod assembly, I have also been able to verify proper operation of the switch when the brake pedal is pushed. But, when I pull everything up tight, there is no voltage on the "back side" of the switch when I press the brake.
I didn't know if there was supposed to be another non-metallic spacer that I was missing or am I supposed to install that plastic bushing such that switch body can't touch the brake pedal or ...
