To remove the headlight knob you reach under the dash and push a small button on top of the switch. Hold that switch down and pull the knob/shaft out. Then to remove the switch you just use a large screwdriver and unscrew the inner bevel retainer and remove the switch.

To remove the windshield wiper switch bezel, I've used needle-nose pliers and flat-tip screwdrivers....but I've never been able to get them removed without boogering them up. That's why you just can't beat the proper tool:

The tool is available from Eastwood for $17:

To remove the lighter you simply unscrew the back lighter retainer from the socket. Hold the socket by sticking your finger in there (be sure you unplug it first!) and then reach up under the dash to unscrew it.

The rest of the knobs are simply held on with a small Allen-head screw, loosen it up with an Allen wrench and pull off, then unscrew the bezel.

dang Keith!

I always wondered what that tool was suppose to look like! :oops!:

I've "boogered" up more than one bezel before with the needle nose trick!

search ebay for a "bezel removal tool". yo umay or may not find it. you will probably find the one for the ignition switch more than you would the wiper switch. i havbe one 91 bear sent me. its ok. but really should have had the prongs on it longer. i should probably send it back to him some day.

If you have an old deep socket of the proper diameter and a bench grinder, you could probably make one.
