parking light/headlight question
I read somewhere and can't remember where. That the reason the parking lights don't come on with the headlights is a problem in the wiring and it can be fixed. The question I have is. Is this true and how can you do it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I've always been crazy but it keeps me from going insane.

Did you read that on this board?
Parking lights on with headlights started with the '70 model year for cars and trucks. If you have a '69 or below, they don't come on.

I don't remember. Ive thought about it alot and I don't see no way it can be done without another switch in the wire between the parking light and headlight. without a switch it will turn on the headlight with the parking light and the parking light with the headlight. I hope I didn't confuse you too bad with that.

re: parking light/headlight question
Just checked my Echlin book and it says the same h/l switch is used from 65-77. Guess I'll have to look at my wiring diagrams and see which wire is different.

Mike, we got that covered in this thread:

Basically, Ford stopped using the parking light connection on the switch in '70 and tied the front parkers to the taillights.

The switch is the same. The wiring in different. As 68f250 said, its covered in another thread. Looks like the fix is simple.
