LMC full length floor mats

Post by dotcentral »

I almost always use NPD or Dennis Carpenter. I live in Charlotte and can drive to their stores, look at the product, buy it, return it if I change my mind, and not pay shipping.

However, I just noticed LMC's winter 2007 has what looks like a full cab floor mat. Page 68. The add says "Vacuum molded from the original floor pan to cover the entire floor."

Anyone know anything about these? I hear a lot of bad stuff about LMC, but this has me thinking.

the older guy is the only "pro"-if you could call him that. the rest are just disgruntled ex-ups employees from across the street.

If someone can check it out, I'd appreciate it. They list it as being an 1/8" thick polyvinyl. I wonder how heavy and tough it feels? If it is good stuff I wouldn't mind giving it a try. The original mat in my 66 is falling apart.

that would be nice if there were finally full copies....but ever since I got some door screws that obviously were too long for their labeled purpose, I have regarded all my LMC purchases with CSI-like scrutiny

LMC is out for me. I ordered an antenna mast from them that they called and told me was an "authentic, authorized reproduction". When I asked if it was the airfoil type and would fit over my old mast stub, they said yes. Now they are on their way back and they'll be refunding my shipping. The part was a DC part, but not for our trucks.

But I agree... why hasn't anyone put out a full floor mat that is like the original??

I plan to put down carpet, too, but if I could repair my floor pans, I'd put down a new mat even temporarily just to improve the looks.

yeah... not a bad idea. Would keep moisture from getting up underneath like the molded ones, and you could later just lay carpet over the top.

I did my floorpan with truckbed coating (SEM) and it didn't quiet it much, then I added silver foil backed rubber mat and about to install LMC polyvinyl floormat if can get seat unbolted this weekend maybe if weather cooperates and I can get a buddy by the help lift the bench in and out. Banjo.

I'd like to see some pics of the floor mats. I,m thinking about jerking the carpet out of my truck and putting a new "rubber" mat in. Depends on how they look and fit.
