While waiting for all the legal crud i have to go through just to get the title changed over on my 67 f250 i decided to bring one of my other projects home from my fathers.

let me know if it dont work

She is a 1970 ford ltd (a giant barge). This car was my project before i fell i love with grandpas f250.
She has a 351w with 2.75:1 rear end in what i believe is a 9 inch rear end.
With glass pack muffler and 2 inch tail pipe.

I need to adjust the carb on her but im not to good at it ill probally end up taking it to my mechanic. On the carb this is a hose that connects to the back under the top of the air horn and goes down the passenger side of the engine behind the manifold and towards the back but ends there i cant find where it goes i know its not emesion stuff to the tank cause i had the tank dropped and replaced. The only think i can think of is it does to the tranny but i couldnt find where.

Steve,

The only think i can think of is it does to the tranny but i couldnt find where.

There should be a vacuum line attached to the modulator valve on the tranny.
The valve will be near the bottom, (can't remember which side) of the tranny.

ya it rides pretty good gets about 15-18 miles to gallon to boot. It is a tank
grandpa evidently backed into something with it when he still drove as the back passenger side shows. it only is missing the crome

I got a piece to replace it but who knows when he did it since he owned it since 72, i found the original bill of sale

well i got my car back from the shop today. and i say that car has never sounded better. With the glass packs and the fresh tune up she really is a purring.

the carb auto choke linkage was binding really bad and was out of tune.
bad enough to cause me to go 35 mph with out my foot on the gas and at idle it was running 1500-2000 rpm

I had a 72 LTD four door in high school. I couldn't afford to drive it then and gas was under a $1.00.

But it just floated down the highway at 80 and the back set was real useful.

i went over 75 miles in the last week in town and highway and only used about 4.5 gallons of gas. my dad said that before i was born he and grandpa took this car from ogallala to lincoln only using about 3/4 a tank of gas... of course that was when gas was probally less than 1$. the lowest i ever remember gas when i was LEGALLY driving was around 1.25 a gallon
