Not sure if this answers your question, but I have seen the following information in other posts regarding radio installations.

Quote:
You can install a CD player into your truck's slanted dash by using a Metra DIN radio installation kit #99-9222 for a '75-'93 Volvo. Flip the mounting piece upside down and attach it to the bent-back ears in your dash, which will allow the stereo to sit perfectly horizontal in the dash opening.

(edit) Here is a link to another post regarding the Metra kit: http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... ight=metra

Ah yes, I just learned also that some 1.5 din units (like an older Pioneer for ex) will mount with the supplied bezel. No pics, but test fitted a buddy's old one and it'll work.

Sorry! Wrong on my last post!!!! It will NOT fit without some cutting. The bezel and front of unit itself will fit fine, the body of the 1.5 din is too wide by about 3/16" even with the ears bent out of the way.
Although I absolutely hate the idea of it, in order to fit one in, my dash will need some trimming :(
I will say this, the angle and fit of the 75-93 Volvo kit is just about perfect for a 1 din radio though. Just need to find one that is a bit narrower.

This is a 1.5 DIN stereo

This is how mine is going to fit. The wood block is a template for fitting.
