Left brake light is out, but not the right?

1972 Camper Special F250; Left turn signal works, but not the Left brake light. The Hazard switch on the dash is missing. Does having the Hazard switch installed have something to do with the turn signals working properly. I've read the electrical schematics and followed the wire routes. Maybe the electrical switch connector is faulty, where is the electrical switch connector installed on the truck?

The hazard flasher switch isn't necessary to make the signals work. Sounds like a problem in the turn signal switch to me. The plug on a 72 for the hazard flasher switch is on the right side of the column under the dash. The switch should have been the middle one on that side of the column, so the plug will be there about somewhere if noone has messed with it. Another possibility if the cab has been changed was a hazard switch in the glove box. I don't remember the years, but some bumps had it there. check the bulb first. while you are in there look at the socket connection nubs for the bulb they could be worn down. that is a common problem on the light sockets.

The same contacts that have turn have brake on these trucks. So, the bulb problem doesn't seem to figure for me, but it is worth checking.
