24f or 27f

which one was the original size for our trucks?

I seen this before and it was 24F... parts online that I looked at showed this also...

I'm not "Brand Loyal" Ford-Chevy-Dodge-Toyota I have them all, one even cross mixed...
If it Looks good and Works good then it's ok by me. Everything has its issues from time to time...

ok. i just wanted to be sure because when i did a search the people replied with both groups for the original.
i was thinking 24f too, but 27f was mentioned a few times.

Then 24F doesnt fill the battery tray, but it is the standard Ford size

Mopar used the 27F, it fills the battery tray.

If buying a battery for a non-resto, I would go 27F, for the oly reason that it it looks better to me. I doubt there is a significant difference internally

65 is a good one too, it fills the battery tray and you can get them with some serious CCA's as that's the size the diesels used. I replace the batteries in my diesels before they get old, IDI's love fresh batteries. I keep the old ones for my gas burners since they're still good.
