Stock AM Radio from a 67 F-100 vs 67 Ranger
I bought a stock AM stereo on ebay only to find out it was from a 67 F-100 and I own a 69 F-250. This was before I found FORDification.com where I could have easily discovered they don't interchange.
Anyway, I resell it on ebay to a guy who owns a 1967 Ford Ranger. He said there a slight difference in the mounting brackets in the dash and they radio won't work.
Does anyone have some knowledge on this?
Thanks,
Steve

Second Pic...
Seattle67, he still has the radio, but I can check if he wants to return it or re-list it on ebay.

The rest of the pictures are all front shots of the face and bezel.

Steve,
I'm with Fordman, that radio doesn't look anything like the one I currently have or any others I have seen for a 67. The pics that Fordman posted match mine. Not saying yours is incorrect, I am just not familiar with that style. The integral speaker totally throws me.
Can you post a picture of the face please?

That is definitely not a bumpside radio. Maybe an earlier F-series, like the slick sides?
Kind of cool looking, though!
Edit: the bezel looks almost correct for a bumpside, but it is not from a slick side, from the looks of it:

Just found this `67 AM radio on ebay. Looks more like a bumpside radio than what you have there.

Fordman, thanks for the pictures. The stock 67 is definitely a different radio. I think the bezel I had is correct for a 67, but the radio isn't. I'm guessing the bracket from a stock radio won't fit the Motorola and that's the problem. The guy I bought it from swears he took it out of a 67 F100.
Paul, I don't believe that radio on Ebay is from a 67. The larger opening in the bezel shows it to be a 68-72. See this FORDification page (towards the bottom) and you'll see the difference: http://www.fordification.com/67-72ID.htm Ebay sellers constantly mis-label there stuff. That's pretty much how I ended up with the wrong radio.
Thanks for all your inputs. I guess that Motorola radio will remain a mystery for now.
