same here, i only use the front if i have 4 speakers.
On the other, if your radio only outputs 60 w I assume thats max, right? If so the 40w speakers should be fine as long as you don't go full volume all the time.
I believe you can still purchase stock type replacements at best buy, i bought replacement dash speakers for my 90 camaro 80w Pioneers, wasn't too expensive.
Thats all i have to offer on the subject
