I'm rebuilding a cab for my crew and I will eventually add AC, I'm sure that the heater box is different for AC but am not sure. I would like to know what pieces I should be putting in while the cab is stripped, I know, all of it, but I just want to put the piece(s) in for now so I don't have to strip the dash down again later.
Thanks James

re: AC parts
James,
I believe the factory plenum (housing) will be different,
the controls in the dash,
and the glove box for factory air.
Not sure what else.
Here's one:

re: AC parts
Since the factory heater/AC setup uses different hoses for the heater hook-up, you'll have to use body plugs to cap off the existing heater-core holes and drill some new ones farther down on the firewall. You'll also need a hole just below the cowl panel (inside the engine compartment) for the AC's refrigerant lines. Here's a graphic I whipped up when adapting my own cab for the factory AC setup:
The firewall is dimpled right where the two new heater hose holes will need to be, so there's no hit-and-miss.
Otherwise, it just bolts up in the stock location, using the three firewall mounting holes. It also bolts to the bottom of the dash on each end, so you might need to drill a single hole on the bottom of the dash lip for each end of the unit.
